Nabrawind presented this study in the 6th International Conference of Wind Turbine Towers, celebrated in Bremen from 29th to 31st of August. It concludes that towers with higher rigidity (soft-stiff towers), compared to more flexible metallic alternatives (soft-soft towers), reduce the loads in the structure, specially during in emergency stop events of the wind turbine generator allowing cost reduction in the tower and the foundation.
