The design of the tools has focused in proposing an extremely light system. The results is that the BladeRunner can be transported in the truck of a small van. Furthermore, Nabrawind engineers have developed a very efficient system capable of uninstall and reinstall a blade in a single day. Finally, Nabrawind engineers expertise resulted in a system capable of operate the whole blade’s market, being able to lift blades up to 32 tones.

The Prototype

First BladeRunner maneuver was successfully executed in summer of 2021 in Bignan, France. The BladeRunner system was used to change a damaged blade in a windfarm developed and owned by the French renewables company Innovent. The maneuver confirmed and even improved all the expectatives for the BladeRunner: cost reduction, lifting rate, logistics and manoeuvrability. All in all, the damaged blade was successfully uninstalled and new blade properly installed.
