Nabrawind completes Phase 1 of InnoVent’s Diaz Wind Farm in Namibia

Nabrawind has successfully completed the first phase of the InnoVent Diaz Wind Farm project in Namibia, marking a major milestone in one of the most impactful renewable energy initiatives in the region.

As part of this phase, four XEMC wind turbines have been installed on Nabrabase foundations, showcasing Nabrawind’s cutting-edge technology and efficient project execution. The installation was completed with increasing speed and precision—the fourth transition piece was installed in just two days, confirming the reliability of the projected installation times and highlighting the steep learning curve achieved on-site.

Once fully completed, the Diaz Wind Farm will contribute to producing 5–6% of Namibia’s total electricity demand, helping to prevent over 200,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. This is a significant step toward the country’s energy independence and sustainability goals.

The second phase of the project—consisting of seven additional turbines—is set to begin early, with some components already in transit. The entire Nabrawind team is actively engaged to ensure smooth and timely execution.

Nabrawind extends its sincere thanks to InnoVent for their continued trust and partnership, and to all professionals and collaborators who have made this achievement possible.
