Manufacturing Process & Quality Engineer
The candidate will be responsible for the process engineering and industrialization strategy, supporting the Manufacturing Operations team which manages day-to-day shop floor activities.
Key responsabilities
- MPR Development: Generate detailed Manufacturing Process Requirements defining technical validation criteria, industrial progression phases, and critical task identification.
- Quality Documentation Design: Define the global control strategy by designing specific Control Plans (CTP) and Inspection Records (INR)
- Supplier Technical Evaluation: Critically review supplier manufacturing proposals to ensure full compliance with Nabrawind's technical specifications and standards.
- Process & Tooling Validation: Analyze and approve supplier-proposed process flows, equipment, and critical tooling (e.g., INT, NWT), considering thermal effects and tolerances.
- Tolerance Chain Analysis: Execute and verify complex tolerance studies to guarantee that manufacturing steps ensure final product dimensional compliance.
- PFMEA Revision: Review and challenge supplier PFMEAs to ensure all critical process risks are identified, assessed, and effectively mitigated.
- FAI Leadership: Lead the Manufacturing Process Design Approval and the First Article Inspection to technically validate initial production units and processes.
- Industrialization Monitoring: Review data from 0-Series production to validate process stability, repeatability, and the effectiveness of the implemented Control Plan.
- Statistical Capacity Analysis: Perform data-driven capability studies (Cpk/Ppk), deducing necessary design changes or process improvements based on statistical results.
Candidate Profile
- Education. MSc in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical degree.
- Specific training in APQP / PPAP methodologies is highly desirable.
- Experience. >5 years in manufacturing engineering, industrialization, and/or quality management within the wind industry or heavy metal-mechanical sectors.
- Languages. High level of English. Capability of interacting with international suppliers (European, Chinese, etc.).
- Technical Skills.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing technologies related to heavy metallic products (e.g., large-scale welding or casting).
- NDT Familiarity: Strong understanding of Non-Destructive Testing (UT, MPI, VT) principles and defectology assessment.
- Experience in statistical process control (SPC) and analyzing process capability (Cpk/Ppk).
Key Competencies
- High analytical and rational capacity for technical process review: Ability to critically evaluate manufacturing sequences, identify potential technical inconsistencies, and assess the feasibility of supplier-proposed industrial solutions.
