Nabralift 3.MAX tower family achieves IECRE Certification with proven Maintenance-free performance

Nabralift bolted joints can operate over 25 years without the need for retightening

Nabrawind has received a Design Evaluation Conformity Statement (DECS) from UL Solutions for its Nabralift 3.MAX towers family, in compliance with the international wind turbine scheme IECRE OD-501.

Designed to support wind turbines of up to 8 megawatts, the 3.MAX solution can achieve hub heights of up to 210 meters. It offers a significant structural upgrade over previous generations—handling up to 30% higher loads—and expands compatibility with the vast majority of next-generation turbines currently entering commercial operation in onshore wind projects worldwide.

The tower has also received IECRE certification as a maintenance-free structure, a recognition made possible by Nabrawind’s innovative engineering approach. Through the use of novel design methodologies and advanced calculation techniques, the company has successfully demonstrated that its bolted joints can operate for over 25 years without the need for retightening. This validation is based on a comprehensive process that includes laboratory testing simulating 40 years of operation, and the monitoring of the first towers in the field, now surpassing 30,000 cumulative operating hours.

The 3.MAX tower family includes seven modular configurations built from interchangeable frame sections, all compatible with a common transition piece. This modular approach enables logistically viable designs for virtually any hub height, while also eliminating the need for large cranes during installation. In the segment of very tall towers—where concrete towers are typically the only alternative—Nabralift 3.MAX delivers installation rates two to three times faster, offering a distinct advantage in terms of project timelines and cost efficiency.
