Envision selected to supply wind turbine for China’s tallest Nabralift Tower
Envision has been confirmed as supplier for the Nabralift HH190 that the company Goldean Ocean will install in China in 2024. The specific turbine model is yet to be disclosed in the coming weeks based on the wind conditions of the chosen location by Golden Ocean.
Envision, company who step up last year to become the fourth OEM globally by MW installed (and second in the Chinese market) states their satisfaction for the agreement. To this regard, Shijia Liu, Head of Tower&Foundation Business Unit, expresses that they are “delighted to collaborate with Nabrawind in this project, and we hope this will be a competitive tower solution for the next stage of the global ultra-high tower market”.
The project contemplates the installation of a 190-meter tall Nabralift wind turbine in China in 2024. The tower selected is the tallest Nabralift tower in Nabrawind’s portfolio, consisting of a 95-meter framed structure and a standard tubular tower on top.
About Nabrawind Technologies
Nabrawind Technologies S.L. is a Spanish Company founded in 2015 for the design and development of advanced wind technologies. Current shareholders are the founders and the financial investors Barinaga y Alberdi, Sodena, Innoenergy and Basarro.
Nabrawind has developed five innovative products: Nabrajoint, Nabrabase, Nabralift, BladeRunner and Skylift.
Nabrajoint consists of a modular blade joint compatible with any blade that allow manufacturing large blades in separate modules that are assembled on site in a short period of time.
Nabrabase is a foundation solution for complex soils (very hard or very soft) and markets with a shortage of concrete or high labor costs. The tripod structure allows dividing massive gravity foundations into deep foundations with concrete reductions of up to 80%.
Nabralift is a self-erecting tower that can reach heights of 200 meters without the need for large cranes, providing minimum LCOE and breaking logistic and installation barriers.
BladeRunner is a new blade installation and de-installation system that reduces the cost of blade replacement up to a 70% compared to maintenance operations carried out with standard cranes.
Finally, Skylift is a new game changer product that allows to install the whole wind turbine at 15 m/s, a clear enabler of the new multi gigawatt wind farms planned for green hydrogen production at sites with high wind speed average.
About Golden Ocean
Golden Ocean Corporation (金海股份), a company owned by China Three Gorges Corporation, is arguably one of the most experienced companies in China leading the expansion of high towers all over the country, specially targeting low wind sites. They partner with Tongji University by focusing on the design and overall solutions of wind power supporting structures. Up to know, around 2000 high towers and 6GW have been commissioned by Golden Ocean.
