Undisclosed Modular Blade #1
Nabrajoint integration project
The project successfully completed the full validation process of the integration of the Nabrajoint solution into wind turbine blade from a leading OEM (client undisclosed).
Based on M33-certified Nabrajoint elements, the project included the following key phases:
- Joint adaptation: engineering the solution to meet client’s specific load conditions, blade geometry and manufacturing process, and logistical constraints.
- Custom slab manufacturing: production of Nabrajoint parts tailored to the client’s blade shell.
- Split blade manufacturing: successful integration of the Nabrajoint slabs into the client’s blade manufacturing process.
- Full-scale blade testing: comprehensive testing of blade and joint confirmed full structural compliance.
The project demonstrated the feasibility of implementing Nabrajoint technology in blades longer than 80 meters, for > 6 MW wind turbines, enabling the use of split blades for logistically constrained onshore markets.
