Nabrawind opens new headquarters in Spain and strengthens its international growth alongside Fortescue
The event was held in Pamplona and chaired by the President of the Government of Navarre, María Chivite, and Nabrawind CEO Eneko Sanz
Nabrawind by Fortescue Zero has this morning inaugurated its new headquarters in Pamplona (Spain) at an event that symbolized the start of a new chapter in the company’s history. Founded to address the wind industry’s major logistical challenges, the company now brings its solutions to projects across five continents, supported by its integration into the Australian group Fortescue in 2025.
The event was attended by the President of the Government of Navarre, María Chivite, and the Minister for Industry and for Ecological and Digital Business Transition, Mikel Irujo. Fortescue was represented by Melinda Gray, Group Manager People, while Nabrawind was represented by Eneko Sanz, founder and CEO. Clients, suppliers, institutions and partners who have accompanied Nabrawind since its beginnings also attended.
During the event, Nabrawind unveiled its new corporate identity, which consolidates the strategic alignment be
tween Nabrawind and Fortescue Zero. It comprises a new visual identity and a marketing strategy focused on major commercial projects.
The new offices also reflect the company’s current moment. They have been designed as an open, digital and collaborative space, where management and staff share the same working environment.
Eneko Sanz, founder and CEO of Nabrawind, echoed this approach: “We have opened much more than new offices. We remain Nabrawind, with the same innovative DNA and the same roots in Navarra, but with the ability to deliver major projects anywhere in the world thanks to Fortescue’s support.”
For her part, the President of Navarre, María Chivite, highlighted that “Nabrawind’s trajectory reflects both the evolution of Navarre’s renewable energy industry and the importance of innovation, public-private collaboration, and internationalisation in driving high-value-added industrial activity.”
Projects on five continents
Ten years after a group of wind industry pioneers founded Nabrawind, the company is entering its most international phase to date. Its integration into the Australian Fortescue group in 2025 has strengthened its financial, industrial and operational capabilities, enabling it to expand its workforce to 125 employees and establish an office in Beijing, China.
Nabrawind’s technology is already operating on all five continents. In Australia, the company is supplying 17 self-erecting Nabralift towers, with a hub height of 188 meters, for the 133 MW wind farm that Fortescue is developing in Nullagine. The towers support Envision EN182-7.8 MW wind turbines, a configuration that obtained the type certificate from UL Solutions last September.
In Africa, Namibia has become a showcase for its solutions. At InnoVent’s wind farm in Diaz, the Skylift system installs wind turbines without the need for large cranes, even in winds of 15 m/s and gusts of up to 20 m/s. Nabrabase foundations, which reduce concrete consumption by up to 80%, have also been installed at this same wind farm.
Nabralift has also left its mark in Europe, with a tower installed in France, and in Asia, where the company erected a prototype with a hub height of 188 meters in Sheyang (China). In addition, BladeRunner units operate in countries as diverse as Argentina, the United States, Mexico, Brazil and Spain.
