Bignan Wind Farm BladeRunner Substitution

Replacing a blade split in half at the Bignan wind farm thanks to our Bladerunner system.

Wind Turbine Characteristics:

• WTG Model: WWD-1.
• Hub Height: 66 meters.
• Rotor: 63 meters.

Maneuver

The blade to be exchanged was broken in half. This fact would complicate the maneuver for other craneless systems which grab the blade by the surface of the blade, instead of directly hold the blade by the root just like BladeRunner does.

Fast Operation

The installation of the BladeRunner within the WTG just took one day. Then the damaged blade was substituted in one day. The third and last day the BladeRunner system was uninstalled.
