Nabralift 3.MAX for Envision’s EN182-7.8 MW Prototype
Nabrawind, in partnership with Fortescue and Envision, is redefining the limits of onshore wind. This project features the installation of the world’s tallest steel tower, reaching a hub height of 188 meters. Combining Nabrawind’s XXL tower technology with Envision’s high-capacity turbines, this project serves as the global benchmark for the next generation of ultra-tall wind energy assets.
Core Innovations & Advantages. Breaking Logistic Barriers. Despite its record-breaking height, the Nabralift tower maintains a maximum tubular diameter of only 4.6 meters. This allows for standard road transport, eliminating the logistical nightmares usually associated with extra-large wind components in remote or complex terrains.
Extreme Weather Resilience. Designed to withstand the harshest environments, the structure is certified for wind speeds, making it a robust solution for typhoon-prone coastal areas and the volatile climate of the Australian desert.
Characteristics:
- Technology: Nabralift 3.MAX
- Turbine Model: Envision EN182-7.8MW
- Hub Height: 188 meters
- Tip Height: 279 meter
- Location (Phase 1): Sheyang, Jiangsu Province, China
- Location (Phase 2): Pilbara, Western Australia
Validation in China (2025): The prototype has been installed at Envision’s testing site in Jiangsu. This phase focuses on full turbine design certification and operational testing in a region prone to typhoons.
Decarbonizing the Pilbara (2026): Following successful testing, the technology will be deployed in Australia. It will join a fleet of 17 Nabralift towers to support Fortescue’s “Real Zero” emissions strategy, providing high-capacity renewable energy to mining operations.
